Zarqa, Oct. 29 (Petra) – The Hashemite University (HU) and the German Embassy in Amman discussed means to enhance technical education, activate student and academic exchange programs, and establish joint projects in advanced technology, environment, renewable energy, sustainability, and water sectors.
In a Wednesday statement, HU President, Khaled Hyari, referred to significance of benefiting from Germany’s “advanced” experience in education, research, and practical training areas.
Hyari also noted strengthening cooperation in offering technical majors that connect with the industrial sector, develop the education system, and meet labor market needs.
He highlighted the importance of joint academic programs, including teaching German to university students and Arabic to German students, in a bid to foster cultural understanding and deepen academic ties.
In turn, German Ambassador to Jordan Bertram von Moltke praised the university’s academic position, scientific excellence, and openness to international cooperation.
