Amman, November 9 (Petra) – Minister of Education Azmi Mahafza visited teachers and students on Sunday after they experienced respiratory distress due to a chemical leak in the science lab of a private school in Amman this morning.
Mahafa said that the Ministry is closely monitoring the ongoing investigations to determine the cause of the incident.
He urged schools to adhere to public safety procedures in laboratories and implementing protocols for handling chemicals to ensure the safety of students and teachers.
Mahafza commended the efforts of the Civil Defence Department’s personnel, praising their rapid response and efficiency in providing first aid to the injured, evacuating them safely and their professional handling of the incident, which contributed to containing the situation in record time.
