Amman, Nov. 16 (Petra) – The 2025 L’Oréal–UNESCO “For Women in Science– International Rising Talents” award has been granted to Mayis Aldughmi in recognition of her scientific distinction and impactful research work.
In a statement on Sunday, the University of Jordan (UJ) said the award reflects Aldughmi’s “leading” contributions in developing a telerehabilitation program aimed at improving sleep quality and overall well-being for patients with Parkinson’s disease by providing effective physiotherapy sessions in their homes.
The initiative is one of the region’s key programs celebrating outstanding women researchers from Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, and Syria for their role in advancing science and serving society through innovative, high-impact studies.
The university added that such achievements strengthen its regional and international standing in research and innovation.
