Amman, November 23 (Petra) – The Prime Ministry is launching a series of workshops tomorrow, Monday, to discuss the second executive programme of the Public Sector Modernisation Roadmap for 2026–2029.
The sessions, which run through Wednesday, will bring together experts and specialists from the public and private sectors to review and refine the programme ahead of its expected announcement.
Minister of State for Public Sector Development Badriya Balbisi will open the first workshop, which will focus on government services and procedures, data and emerging technologies.
On Tuesday, participants will discuss the governance and regulatory environment, human resources and leadership and organisational culture.
The final session on Wednesday will address policies and legislation, as well as spending efficiency.
In preparation for the second executive programme, the Prime Ministry has held seven discussion sessions and several interactive meetings with secretaries-general and directors-general of ministries and government institutions to gather recommendations and ensure alignment with the roadmap’s objectives.
Launched in 2022 as a ten-year plan, the Public Sector Modernisation Roadmap consists of seven components: government services and procedures, governance and the regulatory environment, policies and legislation, human resources and leadership, organisational culture, data and emerging technologies and spending efficiency.
The roadmap aims to build an effective and empowered public sector.
