Amman, Nov. 25 (Petra) – Speaker of the Lower House of Representatives, Mazen Qadi, on Tuesday noted the importance of endorsing the Kingdom’s General Budget Law 2025, while ensuring “quality and accuracy” in debates with relevant stakeholders.
Qadi added that the budget discussions coincide with the launch of the executive program for the Economic Modernization Vision (EMV)’s second phase, aimed at achieving “comprehensive and sustainable” growth, which would “ultimately lead to achieving a better quality of citizens’ life.”
During a meeting of the Finance Committee on Tuesday, attended by Committee Chairman Nimer Sleihat, committee members, and Minister of Finance Abdul Hakim Shibli, Qadi stated the House, in fulfillment of its constitutional duty and in compliance with Royal directives, is “committed to overseeing the vision as a national project that transcends individual governments.”
Expressing the House’s “confidence” in its Finance Committee’s chairman and members, he said: “We look forward to reaching decisions and recommendations that meet the citizens’ aspirations.”
