Amman, Jan. 14 (Petra) – Steve Witkoff, envoy of U.S. President Donald Trump, announced the transition to the second phase of the plan to end the war in Gaza.
Witkoff said the second phase is based on establishing a transitional Palestinian technocratic administration in the Strip, to be called the “National Committee for the Administration of Gaza,” the start of a process of full disarmament, and the launch of comprehensive reconstruction projects.
In a post on X, coinciding with the formation of a committee tasked with administering Gaza, Witkoff wrote, “Today, on behalf of President Trump, we are announcing the launch of Phase Two of the President’s 20-Point Plan to End the Gaza Conflict, moving from ceasefire to demilitarization, technocratic governance, and reconstruction.”
