Amman, Jan. 24 (Petra) – Belgium’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Audrey Jacquiez, announced Saturday a royal decree banning the landing and overflight of aircraft transporting military equipment to Israel, in line with international law.
Jacquiez added that Belgium has prohibited the export and transfer of arms to Israel, emphasizing the country’s efforts to avoid contributing to the escalation in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
Several other nations, including European countries, also impose restrictions on transferring military equipment to Israel, including members of the Hague group South Africa, Senegal, Malaysia, Namibia, Bolivia, Colombia, Cuba, Honduras, and Belize as well as Spain and Turkiye.
