Salt, Feb. 3 (Petra) – The winter session of the theoretical Shamel exam, the annual comprehensive final exam for community college students, is set to begin Wednesday through Tuesday, February 11, in accordance with the schedule published on the official website of the Assessment and Public Examinations Unit at Al Balqa Applied University (BAU).
In a statement Tuesday, BAU President and Chairman of the Higher Committee for the Shamel Exam, Dr. Ahmed Ajlouni, said all necessary procedures were completed to start the theoretical exams for the current winter session.
Ajlouni added that the number of applicants for this session has reached 8,432 students from 55 BAU-supervised university and intermediate colleges.
Ajlouni indicated that 6,282 students are expected to take the first paper, while 6,635 others will sit the second exam on Saturday, February 7th. An additional 7,637 will attend the third exam on Tuesday and Wednesday, February 10 and 11, respectively.
On their scope, Ajlouni stated students will sit exams in this session across 20 academic programs, which encompass 120 specializations, as the written exams are fully automated.
Furthermore, he noted 18 halls were designated at 14 written exam centers nationwide, as approximately 600 invigilators will oversee the process.
