Irbid, Feb. 3 (Petra) — The Irbid Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday delivered a new shipment of humanitarian aid to the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) for Palestinians in Gaza as part of the “Relief for Gaza” campaign.
Chamber President Mohammad Shouha said the shipment includes an electricity generator and clothing, supported by Al-Farooq Charity Association and Mohammad Turki Al-Batayneh Commercial Group.
The aid comes as part of joint efforts between the commercial sector and civil society institutions to strengthen humanitarian and relief work.
Shouha noted that the “Relief for Gaza” campaign, launched by the chamber at the onset of the humanitarian crisis in the Strip, reflects the chamber’s humanitarian and social role and its commitment to supporting Palestinians and helping ease their suffering in line with the Kingdom’s continued support for the Palestinian cause.
He affirmed the chamber’s continued support for the campaign and coordination with official and civil entities, as well as JHCO, to ensure aid reaches its beneficiaries and helps alleviate the suffering of Palestinian Gazans.
