Amman, February 11 (Petra) – Chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Yousef Huneiti received on Wednesday a delegation from the US Institute for Security Governance (ISG), headed by Tim Markle, at the General Command.
The meeting, attended by several senior officers of the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF), focused on enhancing cooperation in the fields of security governance and institutional capacity building.
Discussions addressed ways to strengthen partnerships that promote good governance principles within military and security institutions in line with leading international practices in strategic planning, decision-making and resource management.
Huneiti discussed exchanging expertise with specialised institutions and said JAF committed to developing institutional systems and improving performance efficiency.
He said that the efforts contribute to strengthening readiness and professionalism in carrying out various duties and missions as part of a comprehensive framework grounded in scientific planning and the effective management of human and operational resources.
Markle, in turn, commended JAF’s advanced level and their institutional approach to development and modernisation. He called for continued partnership and the exchange of expertise in security governance and capacity building.
