Amman, Feb 17 (Petra) – Al-Hussein football team secured a spot in the quarterfinals of the AFC Champions League 2 after defeating Iran’s Esteghlal 3-2 at Amman International Stadium on Tuesday evening.
The return-leg victory followed a 1-0 win for Al-Hussein in the first-leg match held last Tuesday in Dubai.
In the second-leg encounter, Al-Hussein’s goals came from Ali Hajbi, Youssef Abu Al-Jazar, and Obaida Al-Namarneh, while Esteghlal’s goals were scored by Jaser Asani.
The match drew a strong turnout of fans at the stadium, who enthusiastically supported Jordan’s representative, highlighting the team’s ambition to compete strongly for the continental title.
