Amman, Feb 22 (Petra) – Minister of Youth Raed Adwan received German Ambassador to Jordan Bertram von Moltke on Sunday at the ministry’s headquarters for a discussion on ways to enhance youth cooperation.
During the meeting, Adwan emphasized the strong ties between the two friendly countries. He outlined the ministry’s priorities for implementing United Nations Security Council Resolution 2250 on Youth, Peace, and Security. Additionally, he discussed the plan to activate youth centers and improve the infrastructure of youth and sports facilities.
Adwan highlighted the training programs implemented by the ministry aimed at developing essential life skills, as well as skills in the arts, music, digital fields, sports, and e-sports. He also mentioned the initiatives designed to empower youth leaders. Additionally, he pointed out the national youth survey conducted by the ministry, which seeks to gather comprehensive data about the realities and priorities of Jordanian youth. This data will serve as a fundamental basis for preparing the National Youth Strategy for 2026-2030.
Von Moltke expressed his desire to enhance cooperation on various issues of mutual interest, particularly in implementing United Nations Security Council Resolution 2250 on Youth, Peace, and Security. He emphasized the importance of empowering young people and increasing their participation in public life.
