Amman, July 27 (QNA) – Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, who is visiting Jordan, discussed regional developments, the repercussions of the dangerous escalation in the region, and efforts to restore calm and promote security and stability.
Safadi and Guterres emphasized the importance of upholding the ceasefire between the United States and Iran and resuming negotiations aimed at reducing tensions and ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz in line with international law.
The two sides also discussed ways to enhance cooperation between Jordan and the United Nations and its agencies. (QNA)
