Army Chief, French Minister Discuss Defense Cooperation

Amman, July 28 (Petra) – Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Maj.
Gen. Yousef Huneiti, received French Minister Delegate to the
Minister for the Armed Forces and Veterans Alice Rufo and her
accompanying delegation on Tuesday.

During a meeting held at the headquarters of Jordan Armed Forces
(JAF)- Arab Army, the two sides discussed strengthening cooperation
between the Jordanian and French armed forces.

Talks also went over several issues of mutual interest, aimed to
advancing bilateral relations and reinforcing the partnership between
the two countries, according to a JAF statement.

Rufo expressed appreciation for the “strong” relations between Jordan
and France, commending the JAF’s role in promoting security and
stability and the level of cooperation between the two countries’
armies.

Additionally, she stressed the importance of continuing coordination
and exchanging expertise in areas of mutual interest.

French ambassador to Jordan, the French defense attaché, and several
senior JAF officers attended the meeting.
