AB Maritime, Abu Dhabi Ports Group discuss collaboration

Aqaba, Feb 12 (Petra) – Abu Dhabi Ports Group and Arab Bridge Company (AB Maritime) discussed cooperation in port operations, joint ventures, transport services, and logistics across Jordan, Egypt, and Iraq during a meeting on Wednesday.

Transport Minister Wissam Tahtamouni, who chaired the meeting, stressed the importance of such discussions in developing advanced, smart, and innovative solutions for maritime transport, logistics, and shipping. She highlighted the need for improved infrastructure and services at cargo and passenger terminals to boost trade volumes, enhance commercial and tourism links, and expand Arab Bridge Maritime’s operations.

Captain Mohamed Al Shamisi, CEO and Managing Director of Abu Dhabi Ports Group, emphasized the significance of Arab partnerships and reaffirmed the group’s readiness to collaborate with Arab Bridge Maritime on shared interests.

Arab Bridge Maritime Company General Manager Adnan Abadleh described the meeting as productive, saying it would help promote tourism between Arab countries and support the company’s newly launched Arab Land and Sea Transport Line.

The two sides agreed to explore a partnership for developing high-quality port facilities tailored to Arab Bridge Maritime’s operations. They also discussed cooperation in tourism transport and expanding tourism activities in the Red Sea region, leveraging Abu Dhabi Ports’ tourist terminals in the area.
