
Amman, Feb. 9 (Petra) — The One-Stop Shop at the Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) processed 330,000 transactions in 2023, providing services through nine government entities, according to data released by the Chamber on Saturday.
The facility streamlines government services for businesses, investors, and citizens by housing multiple agencies under one roof. It includes offices for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Department of Land and Survey, the Income and Sales Tax Department, the Greater Amman Municipality’s Professional Licensing Unit, the Notary Public, the Social Security Directorate, and the Civil Status and Passports Department, as well as the Jordan Food and Drug Administration and an eFAWATEERcom payment service office.
According to the Chamber’s statistics, the shop handled 12,636 work permit transactions, around 239,000 document authentication, agency, and consular consultation transactions, 30,400 land and survey transactions, and 7,000 income and sales tax transactions.
The Notary Public Office processed 12,156 transactions, including agency authentications, issuances, guarantees, and agreements, while the Greater Amman Municipality’s Professional Licensing Unit completed 5,600 licensing transactions.
Additionally, the Social Security Directorate provided 7,106 services, while the Civil Status and Passports Department handled 14,540 transactions related to passports, national IDs, and birth certificates. The Jordan Food and Drug Administration processed 1,089 transactions for food and medical supply approvals.
ACC President Khalil Al-Haj Tawfiq said the Chamber is committed to enhancing business efficiency in line with national efforts to improve service quality and advance digital transformation. He added that the One-Stop Shop reflects a strategic vision to streamline government services and reduce bureaucratic delays.
He noted that the Chamber plans to expand the shop’s offerings to include additional government services, in line with directives for establishing and sustaining integrated service centers. The initiative, he said, has played a key role in expediting commercial and investment transactions while improving the overall business environment.
Al-Haj Tawfiq emphasized the strong collaboration between the Chamber and government entities, noting its contribution to reducing processing times and enhancing economic productivity. He encouraged businesses and individuals to utilize the shop’s services, citing its efficiency in simplifying transactions and improving user experience.
The Chamber, he added, remains committed to further expanding its service offerings to support the commercial and service sectors, fostering economic growth and investment facilitation.
