
Mafraq, Oct. 20 (Petra) – The Mafraq branch of the Agricultural Credit Corporation (ACC) has disbursed loans worth JD4,022,322 from the beginning of the year until the first of this month, benefiting 853 borrowers, according to Branch Director Ali Khazaleh.
Speaking to the Jordan News Agency (Petra) on Monday, Khazaleh said the lending programs included the interest-structured scheme worth JD2,131,650, benefiting 396 borrowers, and the Murabaha (Islamic financing) scheme amounting to JD390,050, which benefited 68 borrowers.
He added that 97 borrowers benefited from the poverty and unemployment projects with a total of JD294,400, while 189 borrowers received JD675,570 under the fodder support project.
The rural financing program benefited 47 borrowers with a total of JD155,700, Khazaleh said. Two borrowers benefited from the Hashemite Commission for Disabled Soldiers (HCDS)’s loan program, amounting to JD10,000, while three borrowers received JD19,500 under the climate-smart agricultural practices and interest-free loan program.
He noted that the loan repayment rate at the Mafraq branch reached JD2,850,000, with a collection rate of 68 percent.
