Aqaba, Sept. 2 (Petra) –Aqaba Container Terminal (ACT) announced on Tuesday that it achieved “positive” operational indicators last month, reinforcing its role as a “key” hub supporting national and regional supply chains.
In its statement, the ACT said it handled a total of 86,964 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) in August, including 44,793 imports and 9,416 exports.
The terminal also received 49 vessels, processed 51,963 truck moves, and handled 7,661 TEUs in transit cargo.
The company reported a 22.33% year-on-year increase in total cargo throughput, reflecting the impact of seasonal trade flows and global shipping trends.
