
Amman, Sep. 16 (Petra) – Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti, on Tuesday discussed the latest developments on the regional and international arenas with Chief of Defence of the Belgian Armed Forces, Lit. Gen. Frederik Vansina, and his accompanying delegation.
In a meeting held at General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF), Huneiti and Vansina, in the presence of the Belgian Defense Attaché in Amman and a number of senior JAF officers, also went over aspects of joint cooperation and coordination and ways to strengthen bilateral relations to serve the interests of the two friendly countries’ armed forces.
Huneiti and the visiting delegation were briefed on the JAF’s key upgrades and developments in various defense and security fields, its humanitarian efforts exerted in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, as well as the latest regional developments and current security challenges.
In turn, Vansina called for continuing coordination with the JAF in military fields, mainly joint training and exchange of expertise.
Praising the “strong” bilateral relations, he expressed his aspiration to achieve further cooperation to serve common interests.
