Amman, Oct. 1 (Petra) — The Eastern Military Zone successfully foiled a narcotics smuggling attempt early Wednesday involving balloons equipped with crude guidance devices within its area of responsibility.
Border Guard forces, in coordination with security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department, detected, intercepted, and brought down the balloons and their cargo within Jordanian territory.
The seized narcotics were handed over to the relevant authorities for further legal action.
