
Amman, Oct.5 (Petra) – The Charity Clothes Bank (CCB), a division of the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), has concluded activities of its mobile halls recently launched in southern Karak and Aqaba governorates.
The initiative comes as part of the bank’s ongoing efforts to serve underprivileged and low-income families in various governorates.
In a statement on Sunday, the bank said an activity was held in Maamoura region of ??the Southern Jordan Valley District on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 30 and October 1, which served 216 underpriviliged families, comprising 1,170 individuals, and distributed more than 9,485 garment items.
In Aqaba governorate, an event served needy and low-income households and orphans, as a total of 15,129 clothing items were distributed there to 360 families, comprising 1,561 individuals.
The bank indicated that the total items distributed during these two events in Karak and Aqaba reached 576 families, comprising 2,731 individuals, totaling more than 24,600 clothing items.
On their goals, the bank noted these activities serve its mission to promote social solidarity and reach the largest possible number of beneficiaries.
The bank also praised the cooperation of partners, supporters, and donors, who contribute to maintain these efforts that positively affect the target groups across the governorates.
The bank added that donations from individuals and institutions are “the cornerstone to maintain these humanitarian initiatives.”
