Karak, Aug. 4 (Petra) — Karak Agriculture Director Mamoun Adayleh on Monday inaugurated a specialized training course for local farming associations on water efficiency.
The course is organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in cooperation with Advance Consulting and the Karak Agriculture Directorate, and includes participants from across the governorate interested in agricultural development.
Adayleh said the training, attended by FAO representative Samia Akroush and Mohammad Kharabsheh from Advance Consulting, is part of the project titled “Building Resilience to Cope with Climate Change in Jordan through Improving Water Use Efficiency in the Agriculture Sector.”
The project aims to strengthen food security and promote sustainable agricultural development in areas most affected by climate change across the Kingdom.
He noted that the course seeks to raise awareness and skills among farmers to adopt climate-smart agricultural practices by improving water management and efficiency, thus enhancing the resilience and sustainability of local farming communities.
