
Amman, Jan. 28 (Petra) – Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Sahar Al-Shakhatrah, emphasized that Jordan has witnessed a significant transformation in curricula, increased educational opportunities, and enhanced educational efficiency under the reign of His Majesty King Abdullah. She highlighted the focus on fostering students’ creativity and encouraging research and innovation.
Speaking on Tuesday while sponsoring a celebration at Khalda Secondary School for Girls, affiliated with the University District Education Directorate, on the occasion of the King’s birthday, Al-Shakhatrah noted that His Majesty consistently underscores education as the cornerstone of human development, the foundation of nations’ progress, and the shortest path to building Jordan’s future and excelling in an ever-evolving world.
She stated that celebrating the leader’s birthday honors a legacy of continuous dedication to the nation’s advancement. “Every achievement we make and every step we take forward extends from His Majesty’s vision and the wise leadership committed to ensuring the nation’s pride and progress,” she said.
Al-Shakhatrah pointed out the ministry’s relentless efforts to fulfill His Majesty’s insightful vision, making education a pathway full of opportunities, fostering innovation, and celebrating intellectual growth.
On behalf of the educational community, Al-Shakhatrah extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to His Majesty on his birthday, wishing him continued health and well-being.
For his part, University District Education Director Abdul Hakim Al-Shawabkeh reflected on the royal initiatives supporting the education sector and His Majesty’s enduring contributions to the nation’s prosperity and development.
During the event, Al-Shakhatrah inaugurated an art exhibit featuring portraits of His Majesty King Abdullah, attended by members of the Educational Development Council and local community representatives.
The celebration included patriotic poetry, a musical performance by the Education Directorate’s band, and a video presentation highlighting His Majesty’s achievements.
