Gaza, Aug. 20 (Petra) — Fifty-eight Palestinians were killed and 185 injured in Israeli bombings and airstrikes across the Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours, The Ministry of Health in Gaza said Wednesday.
The number of dead is expected to rise as many victims remained under the rubble and in the streets, with ambulances and civil defense crews unable to reach them, it said in its daily update.
The latest casualties took to 62,122 the death toll from Israel’s aggression which began on October 7, 2023, and the total number of wounded climbed to 156,758, said the ministry.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation army issued new evacuation orders to people in northern Gaza, including Abu Iskandar area and Jabalia Al-Nazla.
Leaflets dropped by Israeli aircraft ordered inhabitants to leave their homes immediately and move south of Wadi Gaza.
The orders come amid new military escalation and worsening humanitarian conditions across much of the Gaza Strip.
