
Amman, Oct. 15 (Petra) — Soft autumn breezes and mild afternoons will dominate the weather on Wednesday, with a gradual rise in temperatures expected toward the end of the week, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department.
Wednesday’s weather will be mild across most regions and moderate around the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, accompanied by northwesterly winds blowing at a moderate pace.
On Thursday, temperatures will creep up slightly, keeping conditions mild over the highlands and moderate elsewhere. Medium and high clouds are forecast to drift across the sky, while northwesterly winds remain steady and moderate.
Friday will bring another slight temperature increase, pushing readings two to three degrees above the seasonal average. The day will be moderate in most regions and relatively warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with patches of medium and high clouds. Light southeasterly winds will shift northwesterly by afternoon.
By Saturday, the air will cool slightly, returning to seasonal norms. The weather will stay mild in most areas and moderate in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with scattered clouds over southern regions. Northwesterly winds will be moderate to active, occasionally stirring dust in the desert.
Temperature readings for Wednesday show highs and lows of 27 and 15 degrees Celsius in East Amman, 25 and 13 in West Amman, 22 and 13 in the northern highlands, and 23 and 11 in the Sharah highlands.
In desert areas, temperatures will range between 30 and 13 degrees, while the plains are expected to record 26 and 15 degrees. The northern Jordan Valley will see 32 and 17 degrees, compared to 33 and 22 degrees in the southern Jordan Valley.
Around the Dead Sea, temperatures will reach 32 and 21 degrees, and 33 and 22 degrees in Aqaba.
