Amman, August 4 (Petra) – Interior Minister Mazen Faraya ordered on Monday the release of 572 administrative detainees, effective tomorrow, Tuesday.
This decision aims to facilitate the reintegration of the administrative detainees into society, allowing them to be with their families and lead normal lives.
The release follows a thorough review of the detainees’ files and cases, with authorities determining that the periods of detention were sufficient.
Faraya emphasised that the decision reflects the Ministry’s humane approach to administrative detention, while ensuring that legal and security measures remain in place to monitor and restrict the activities of individuals deemed a threat to public safety.
