
Irbid, Aug 13 (Petra) – Irbid Electricity Company on Tuesday evening recorded the highest power load in the network’s history, reaching 875 megawatts.
Bashar Al-Tamimi, the company’s general manager, affirmed full adherence to the approved emergency plan to ensure continuity and quality of electricity supply under such conditions.
During an inspection visit to the monitoring and control center, Al-Tamimi reviewed recorded power loads, the state of the network, workflow and measures taken to address subscriber reports during the heatwave gripping the Kingdom.
In a press statement, the company urged customers to take all necessary steps to reduce electricity consumption, particularly during peak hours between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m., to set air conditioners at 24 C, and to charge electric vehicles outside peak periods.
