Amman, Sept. 27 (Petra) – Inspection teams at the Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA), in cooperation with the Royal Department for Environmental Protection, have shut down a residential apartment in Zarqa that had been converted into an unlicensed bakery operating without the required permits and in unsanitary conditions.
In a statement on Saturday, the JFDA said that as part of an inspection campaign carried out by its cadres at the Region’s Directorate, authorities also discovered an unlicensed dairy production facility operating under poor sanitary conditions and without meeting the necessary health requirements.
The administration confirmed that both sites were closed, the seized materials were confiscated for disposal in accordance with regulations, and legal proceedings were initiated against those responsible. It stressed that inspection and monitoring campaigns will continue, with firm action taken against violators.
The JFDA urged the public to report any complaints or concerns through its toll-free hotline (117114), email [[email protected]], or via WhatsApp at (0795632000).
