JNC, ABHS discuss health cooperation

Amman, August 12 (Petra) –Jordanian Nursing Council (JNC) on Tuesday discussed with a delegation from the Arab Board of Health Specializations (ABHS), ways to enhance cooperation and partnerships and coordinate steps to hold the Arab Board exam in ophthalmology at the council’s simulation center.

The two sides discussed JNC’s accreditation as a certified exam center within the ABHS-affiliated network of bodies, which would enhance Jordan’s position as an “advanced regional hub” for training and qualifying specialized healthcare personnel.

This vision came during a meeting that brought together JNC’s Secretary-General, Dr. Hani Nawafleh, Director of ABHS Measurement and Assessment Department, Dr. Sabeeh Mashhadani, and Director of Administrative Coordination, Iman Homsi.

Nawafleh said ongoing cooperation forms the basis for developing health services and enhancing worker “efficiency,” noting that this partnership “opens up horizons for integration in the training and accreditation fields.”

Mashhadani, in turn, praised the JNC’s role in developing health specialties and raising efficiency of medical personnel, stressing the ABHS’s “commitment to supporting Jordan as a leader in medical and nursing education. “

According to a JNC statement, the two sides agreed to enhance future cooperation to contribute to preparation of qualified health personnel, in accordance with the highest standards.
