Jordan continues aid delivery to Gaza through airdrops

Amman, August 13 (Petra) — The Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) on Wednesday conducted an airdrop operation to deliver aid to Gaza through Royal Jordanian Air Force planes, alongside aircraft from Germany, the United Arab Emirates, Belgium, France, and Italy, carrying a total of 79 tonnes of food and relief aid.

With Wednesday’s operation, the number of airdrops conducted by the JAF since 27 July has reached 153, while airdrops conducted in cooperation with international partners reached 331, delivering nearly a total of 765 tonnes.

The Jordanian planes today carried aid from the Canadian government, in a step that reflected international and regional support for Jordan’s efforts to provide assistance to the Palestinians in Gaza.
