Amman, Feb. 3 (Petra) – The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) confirmed on Monday that shipments of tents from Jordan to Gaza are ongoing as part of a comprehensive humanitarian plan aimed at maximizing support for the people in the besieged Strip.
In a statement, the JHCO announced that 30,000 additional tents would be dispatched next week as part of ongoing relief efforts since the start of the war on Gaza.
The organization expects to receive a significant number of tents in the coming days, donated by various organizations and countries. These will be swiftly delivered to affected families to ensure proper shelter amid dire conditions.
So far, Jordan has sent 24,891 tents to support displaced individuals, including 11,000 tents that were delivered since the latest humanitarian truce began.
Jordan, represented by the JHCO, has been actively sending relief aid including shelter materials, clothing, and other essentials over the past months to alleviate the suffering of Gaza’s population.
To date, Jordan has dispatched 152 aid convoys, comprising 5,992 trucks carrying over 100,000 tons of humanitarian assistance, including food, shelter, and medical supplies.
