Amman, Jan. 7 (Petra) — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Hunaiti met on Wednesday at the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces- Arab Army (JAF) with Indian Ambassador to Jordan, Manish Chauhan.
They tackled prospects of expanding military cooperation, and also talked about regional and international developments of common interest.
Hunaiti highlighted the close Jordanian-Indian relations, stressing the need to build on existing military cooperation and activate expertise exchange and capacity building programs through joint exercises and training.
The Indian envoy commended Jordan’s pivotal role, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, in supporting regional stability, noting the humanitarian efforts of JAF, both inside and outside the Kingdom.
