Calling on continuing joint coordination, Bashir noted Jordan’s role in supporting Arab issues under parliamentary diplomacy, which contributes to achieving the prosperity of the Arab nation.
The committee’s memebers stressed the importance of Jordan’s “pivotal” role in the region, especially amid the “rapid” developments in the Middle East region, according to a House statement.
The MPs also reviewed Jordan’s “firm” position, led by His Majesty King Abdullah II, towards the Palestinian cause and its rejection of any attempts to displace Palestinians at the expense of the region’s countries.
Meanwhile, Douaihy praised the Kingdom’s “active” regional role, valuing His Majesty’s efforts in supporting Arab issues, mainly the Palestinian cause.
Douaihy expressed aspiration to enhance joint parliamentary work to reflect the two countries’ “historic” relations.
