Jordan pavilion at Saudi Food Expo 2025 sees ‘large’ turnout-Jaghbir

Amman, May 14 (Petra) –Jordanian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Dr. Haitham Abu Foul, accompanied by Chairman of Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry, Fathi Jaghbir, on Wednesday toured Jordanian pavilion participating in the Saudi Food Expo 2025, held in the capital, Riyadh.

According to a statement issued by Amman Chamber of Industry, the ambassador praised “development” of Jordanian industry, which has led to its “remarkable” popularity in various international markets, including Saudi Arabia.

Abu Foul affirmed the embassy’s “readiness” to assist in organizing participation of Jordanian industrialists in various events held in Saudi Arabia and arrange visits by Jordanian economic delegations to Saudi Arabia.

Abu Foul also commended role of Jordan Chamber of Industry and Jordan Exporters Association (JEA) in promoting national industry and implementing marketing activities.

Abu Foul noted participation in the exhibition facilitates opening “new” marketing channels in “vital and promising” foreign markets, relying on the “high competitiveness and quality” of the Jordanian food industry.

Meanwhile, Jaghbir stated the Jordanian pavilion, which is organized by the JEA, features participation of 33 Jordanian companies specialized in food manufacturing, adding that Saudi Arabia is “a major” market for Jordanian exports.

Jaghbir noted participation in specialized international exhibitions contributes to promote Jordanian products and open new markets.

Presence also allows representatives of industrial companies to learn about the latest developments in food manufacturing, mainly use of modern technology, he pointed out.

The Jordanian pavilion is witnessing a “large” turnout from exhibition visitors, who expressed “their admiration for the advanced level and high quality” of Jordanian food products, he pointed out.

As per official data, Jaghbir indicated that establishments operating in the food industry sector constitute 15% of the total number of the Kingdom’s industrial entities, with a total of 2,645 businesses, providing 50,000 job opportunities with a registered capital of JD641 million and fixed assets of nearly JD2 billion.
