
Amman, September 29 (Petra) – The Jordanian Field Hospital Gaza/83 is delivering humanitarian and medical support in Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip, supporting the efforts of the Jordanian Field Hospital South Gaza/7 after relocating from Tel al-Hawa in northern Gaza.
The relocation is part of Jordan’s ongoing commitment to support the Palestinian people amid the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
The commander of the North Gaza hospital unit confirmed that medical and nursing staff from Gaza/83 have integrated with their counterparts in the southern unit.
Together, they are working around the clock to provide essential healthcare services, including treating the wounded and sick, conducting surgeries and dispensing critical medications.
The joint effort aims to improve the overall level of medical care in the region and help alleviate the suffering of Gaza’s residents as medical needs continue to rise.
Residents of Khan Younis expressed deep appreciation for Jordan’s continued support, commending the professionalism of the Jordanian medical teams and the consistent provision of equipment and supplies that have helped raise the standard of healthcare in the area.
During its deployment in Tel al-Hawa from August 12 to September 22, Hospital Gaza/83 treated more than 34,000 patients and performed over 220 surgeries.
