
Amman, Feb. 3 (Petra) – Jordan’s GDP per capita for 2023 stood at $3,142.
According to the annual progress report of the Executive Program for the Economic Modernization Vision 2023-2025, which includes the key results of the macroeconomic framework for 2024, the budget deficit after grants as a percentage of GDP between January and November stood at 6.3 percent.
Foreign currency reserves at the Central Bank reached $21 billion, while the total volume of exports amounted to JD8.619 million, and the volume of imports reached JD17.285 million for the same period.
The coverage of foreign currency reserves for imports for the entire year was 8.2 months.
The current account deficit, excluding grants, as a percentage of GDP, during the first three quarters of the year, stood at 9.4 percent, while net foreign investment during the same period amounted to JD885 million.
