JUST receives AHA’s accreditation as CPR training center

Ramtha, Feb. 3 (Petra) – The Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) has been accredited as an International Training Center for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) by the American Heart Association (AHA).

In a statement on Monday, the university highlighted that this accreditation recognizes its efforts to enhance its medical training programs. The newly established center is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and staffed by specialized personnel from the Emergency Medical Services Department in the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences.

JUST President, Khaled Al-Salem, received the accreditation certificate during his visit to the American Heart Association, expressing pride in this achievement, which underscores the university’s commitment to advancing medical education and improving emergency response skills.

Al-Salem emphasized that the center will train both medical and non-medical personnel, raising health awareness and improving life-saving interventions in emergency situations.

Representatives from the AHA Middle East Office, including Regional Director Rami Khattar and Senior International Program Manager Mohammad Almzayen, praised JUST’s efforts in developing cardiac and emergency care, considering the center a significant step in enhancing healthcare quality and saving lives.
