Amman, August 10 (Petra) — The King Hussein Business Park (KHBP) is accelerating plans for its next expansion phase as part of an ambitious strategy to attract high-quality investments, stimulate economic growth, and strengthen Jordan’s position as a leading regional hub for innovation and business.
In an interview with the Jordan News Agency (Petra), the park’s CEO, Ammar Ezzeddine, said the upcoming development is designed to deliver both immediate and long-term benefits to the national economy by creating a vibrant, sustainable, and investor-friendly environment.
Ezzeddine noted that since its establishment in 2010, the park has evolved from a smart business hub for technology and corporate growth into an integrated urban ecosystem that blends work, life, leisure, and education. Initially envisioned as a platform for attracting and supporting technology companies, the park has expanded its role to foster quality of life, innovation, and collaboration within a 24/7 mixed-use environment.
Recent initiatives have included the development of ready-to-lease buildings equipped with advanced technological infrastructure, serving as a launchpad for both local and international companies. “We are moving beyond the concept of a conventional business park to become a self-sustaining community,” Ezzeddine said.
Central to the park’s growth strategy is a shift from a traditional leasing model to a real estate development approach. This transition aims to strengthen financial sustainability and provide investors with long-term, flexible opportunities.
Environmental stewardship plays a major role in the park’s vision. This year, in cooperation with the private sector, the park launched its first integrated recycling center a milestone in its broader sustainability agenda. Future phases will prioritize environmental best practices and the adoption of advanced green technologies.
Infrastructure works are in progress for phases two, three, and four of the park’s expansion, with a combined investment of around JD8.5 million. The second phase will cover 266,000 square meters, while the third will encompass 196,000 square meters.
The development plan includes the construction of a hotel and serviced apartments, as well as facilities meeting the highest accessibility standards through a partnership with the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. These facilities are expected to enhance the park’s appeal as a destination for investors, entrepreneurs, and business travelers.
Over the next two years, the park will roll out a comprehensive work program that includes upgrading existing facilities, improving sidewalks and entrances, ensuring future buildings comply with national and international standards, and expanding public services to create a more investor-friendly environment.
Ezzeddine explained that the expansion is aligned with a refined investment strategy based on flexible design, inclusive infrastructure, and a comprehensive support ecosystem. “Our aim is to create an environment where businesses of all types can thrive, supported by world-class facilities and services,” he said.
To support this vision, the park has engaged an accredited international consultant to develop a land-use master plan that optimizes each plot for specific investment types. The plan considers buildable areas, floor counts, and sector-specific opportunities to ensure the park can host diverse investments.
Investors are being offered a package of incentives, including tax and customs exemptions under the Jordan Investment Law, streamlined licensing and registration processes in cooperation with the Investment Commission, and priority handling of government services within the park. Flexible investment agreements tailored to individual needs and financing options through leading Jordanian banks are also available.
Founded on a Royal vision to position Jordan as a regional hub for business and innovation, the King Hussein Business Park has become one of Amman’s fastest-growing strategic business centers. Its dynamic environment has attracted local, regional, and global companies while fostering a culture of entrepreneurship and youth empowerment.
Ezzeddine emphasized the importance of transparent dialogue with the private sector in shaping a competitive business environment. The park maintains ongoing communication through regular meetings, participatory workshops, surveys, and feedback mechanisms, ensuring that investor needs are met and challenges addressed.
“Our close collaboration with official authorities and the dedicated efforts of our professional team have resulted in sustainable partnerships with leading companies, the expansion of existing investments, and the attraction of new market players,” he said.
With its expanded infrastructure, sustainability focus, and investor-friendly policies, the King Hussein Business Park is positioning itself as a key driver of Jordan’s economic transformation, offering a blueprint for modern business ecosystems in the region.
