He further emphasized that Jordan, under His Majesty’s leadership, operates within an Arab framework based on historical rights in Palestine, advocating for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Kreishan warned that any infringement on Palestinian rights or changes on the ground would impact the entire Middle East, causing regional instability, including for Israel.

“Jordanians are a united people with a strong national identity established by the Hashemites,” he added, affirming that the Jordanian people stand firmly behind His Majesty’s honorable stance on various issues, particularly the Palestinian cause.

Senator Mazen Darwazeh, Chairman of the Senate’s Palestine Committee, emphasized the importance of His Majesty’s meeting with President Trump in Washington, accompanied by Crown Prince Hussein.

He pointed out the serious challenges facing the region, which necessitate Arab coordination and diplomatic efforts at both regional and global levels to counter attempts to alter Palestine’s geography and demographics.

Darwazeh stressed the significance of Arab unity and Jordan’s leadership in safeguarding Palestinian rights, in line with international resolutions that call for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.

He noted that Jordan’s coordinated efforts with Arab and European nations, as well as ongoing institutional engagement with U.S. authorities including Congress are essential in mobilizing support for the Palestinian cause.

Darwazeh warned that altering Palestine’s demographics and geography poses a direct threat to Jordan’s national security. He stressed that any annexation of West Bank territories or forced displacement of Palestinians would have far-reaching consequences for the entire region.

“Jordan’s position, under His Majesty’s leadership, is firm, unwavering, and clear in rejecting any attempts to annex Palestinian lands or displace Palestinians,” he said, emphasizing that this stance aligns with Jordan’s supreme national interests.

He reiterated that the Jordanian people fully support their King and the Hashemite legacy of defending Palestinian rights and protecting Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
