Amman, Dec. 3 (Petra) — The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship signed a partnership agreement with OpenAI to support the intelligent educational assistant, Siraj, one of the flagship projects of the National Council for Future Technology

According to a ministry statement issued Wednesday, the assistant was launched on a pilot basis in line with the directives of Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II to leverage technology to enhance educational outcomes.

The agreement aims to support Siraj, developed by Jordanian experts, to provide advanced educational services and interactive conversations that strengthen comprehension, analysis, and creativity among students in all public schools. Siraj aligns with the curricula of the Ministry of Education and is designed to improve the quality of the educational process and its outputs.

The partnership will also deliver specialized services for teachers and educational supervisors across the Kingdom, enabling them to share expertise with students and enhance interaction and assessment within a fully integrated digital learning ecosystem.

The ministry noted that services provided under the agreement will adhere to high standards of reliability, data protection, and cybersecurity, supported by rigorous oversight mechanisms to ensure information integrity and user privacy.

The collaboration will additionally include an advanced data-monitoring and analytics system to enable data-driven decision-making and support future educational policy development.

The Ministry of Education had previously launched the pilot version of Siraj in early October as an AI-powered educational tool.

Siraj allows students and teachers to ask questions and receive accurate responses rooted in official school curricula, supported by clear reference documentation for each answer, thereby enhancing the quality of learning.
