Amman, May 13 (Petra) – An official military source in the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) said on Tuesday that the Northern Military Zone foiled an infiltration attempt at one of its border crossings at dawn.
The source stated that five individuals were detected attempting to illegally cross the border. The rules of engagement were applied, resulting in their arrest. The individuals were subsequently handed over to the relevant authorities.
The source stressed that the JAF continues to carry out its national duty with full professionalism, employing all available capabilities to confront infiltration and smuggling attempts, in order to safeguard the Kingdom’s security and stability.
