Belgium Explore Bilateral Cooperation

Brussels,
20 Oct (ONA) — The Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Belgium convened the
eighth round of political consultations in Brussels today.

The
Omani delegation was led by Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of
the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs. The Belgian delegation was headed
by Theodora Gentzis, Secretary-General of the Belgian Ministry of Foreign
Affairs.

Discussions
during the session focused on the bilateral cooperation between the two
nations, with particular emphasis on the fields of clean energy, ports, and
logistics. Technical and consular cooperation were also reviewed, alongside a
number of regional and international issues of mutual concern.

In
attendance from the Omani side were Munthir bin Mahfoudh Al Mantheri, Head of
the Europe Department at the Foreign Ministry, and Her Excellency Ambassador Ru’aa
Issa Al Zedjali, Oman’s Ambassador to Belgium, alongside a number of officials
from both countries.
