Oman International Rally 2026 Kicks
Off in Sohar

Sohar, 22 Jan 2026 (ONA) — Activities
of Oman International Rally 2026 kicked off today in the Wilayat of Sohar in North
Al Batinah Governorate. Sohar hosts the launch of the international rally for
the second time in a row.

A press conference about the event was
held in the presence of prominent drivers and team managers who affirmed the readiness
of the competitors and the routes of the rally.

At a public demo held in the vicinity of the Entertainment Centre in Sohar, the drivers participated in an
exciting race in which they exhibited their skills, making members of the
public look forward to the start of the long stages.

The rally, organized by Oman
Automobile Association, coincides with Sohar Entertainment Festival.

The rally is being held with the
support of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, the Office of the
Governor of North Al Batinah and Toyota Oman—the official host of the rally.
This year’s race sees the participation of 20 competitors from different
countries.

The long stages of the rally, which
will begin tomorrow (Friday 23 January), start with a 15-km race that kicks off
at 9:13 a.m., followed by a 19-km race and a 14-km race.

The rally concludes on Saturday (24
January 2026) and the official closing ceremony be held at the Entertainment
Centre in Sohar.
