
Oman Launches Tourism Roadshow in Jaipur to Attract Indian TravelersJaipur, India, 18 Aug (ONA) — The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism today kicked off a promotional roadshow in Jaipur, India, featuring participation from Omani tourism institutions, hospitality operators, and airlines. The event, running until 21 August, aims to strengthen tourism ties between the two nations. The roadshow includes bilateral meetings between Omani tourism representatives and their Indian counterparts, along with comprehensive presentations on Oman’s diverse tourism offerings and potential areas of collaboration. This initiative aligns with the Ministry’s strategy to enhance Oman’s presence in the Indian market and showcase its unique attractions. Targeting key segments such as families and travelers seeking cultural, leisure, and nature-based experiences, the three-day event brings together 25 Omani tourism entities and 150 Indian tour operators. The goal is to foster partnerships and attract more Indian tourists to Oman, building on the growing visitor numbers—which reached 623,623 in 2024. Yousuf Khalaf Al Mujizi, Assistant Director of Market Development at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, emphasized India’s importance as a priority market, citing deep-rooted cultural and economic ties. “India’s vast and diverse traveler base, with its interest in cultural and natural destinations, makes it a strategic focus for our promotional efforts,” he said. The choice of Jaipur—a key economic and tourism hub—reflects Oman’s commitment to expanding international partnerships and tapping into high-potential markets he added.He pointed out that the roadshow provides a platform to directly engage with leading travel companies and highlight Oman’s unique selling points, from its varied landscapes to its rich heritage.
