of Historical Relations

Kuwait,
18 Nov 2025 (ONA) — Abdulrahman Al Mutairi, Minister of Information and
Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs in the State of Kuwait, stated
that the selection of the Sultanate of Oman as the Guest of Honour for the 48th
Kuwait International Book Fair reflects the depth of the distinguished
historical relations that unite the two countries.

This
was said in a press statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) when the Kuwaiti
minister received Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Al Harrasi, Minister of Information,
upon his arrival in Kuwait to attend the fair’s opening events.

Al
Mutairi added that being selected as the guest of honour confirms the cultural

He
clarified that the participation of the Sultanate of Oman also lends great
knowledge and human value to the fair due to its intellectual production and
literary creativity, which reflects the richness and diversity of Omani
culture.

The
48th Kuwait International Book Fair is held under the auspices of Sheikh Ahmad
Abdullah Al Ahmad Al Sabah, Kuwait’s Prime Minister, under the slogan “Capital
of Culture… Homeland of Books”. This coincides with the selection of the
