Parliamentary panel commends Jordanian field hospitals in West Bank, Gaza Strip

Amman, Jan 11 (Petra) — The Lower House’s Foreign Affairs Committee Saturday applauded the humanitarian role of Jordanian field hospitals in the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip, amid the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza.

“Jordan’s position in support of the Palestinian people, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, is historically firm and solid,” the committee said in a statement, noting the Kingdom has spared no effort in diplomacy to reach a ceasefire in Gaza and provide humanitarian aid to the Palestinian brothers.

Head of the committee, MP Dina Al-Bashir, expressed appreciation for the “heroic” efforts of the medical crews of the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army, who endeavored to offer medical services through the field hospitals.

The medical, nursing and administrative crews are sincerely performing their “noble humanitarian duty” to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people and provide medical and relief aid to people in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, she noted.

The committee expressed pride in the “official and popular” Jordanian position in aiding Palestine, urging the world community to take immediate action to stop the aggression and end the suffering of Palestinians.
