Amman, Oct. 2 (Petra) — Pleasant weather is forecast for Thursday in most regions of the Kingdom, while relatively hot conditions will prevail in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.

Low-altitude clouds are expected over the north and center, with northwesterly winds moderate in speed, becoming active at times in desert areas, the Jordan Meteorological Department said.

On Friday, temperatures will rise slightly, with moderate conditions expected across most regions and hotter weather in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Southeasterly winds will be moderate, occasionally active and dusty, especially in desert areas.

Saturday will bring similar weather, with moderate autumn conditions across much of the country and hot conditions in the lowlands. On Sunday, temperatures will edge higher, bringing mild weather over the highlands and relatively hot to hot conditions elsewhere. Southeasterly winds will remain moderate, turning active and dusty at times in the desert.

On Thursday, highs are forecast at 27 C in eastern Amman, 25 C in western Amman, 23 C in the northern highlands, and 24 C in the Sharah highlands.

Desert regions will record 31 C, the plains 28 C, the northern Jordan Valley 35 C, the southern Jordan Valley 37 C, the Dead Sea 36 C, and Aqaba 35 C.
