
Amman, Sept. 30 (Petra) – HRH Prince El Hassan bin Talal, President of the Arab Thought Forum (ATF), visited the Military Oncology Center of the Royal Medical Services (RMS) on Tuesday.
Welcomed by RMS Director General Brig. Gen. Sahel Hammouri, Prince El Hassan was briefed by the Center Director, Brig. Gen. Ahmad Bawaneh, on medical services provided to cancer patients in the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, security services, and civilians.
The center uses “advanced” medical technologies to alleviate patient suffering and serves as a model for other healthcare institutions.
Brig. Gen. Hammouri said the RMS “prioritizes” developing the medical system in Jordan, introducing state-of-the-art equipment, and integrating modern medical and therapeutic methods, particularly for patients with blood diseases. He emphasized awareness and cooperation between medical sectors.
Prince El Hassan toured the center’s departments, expressing pride in RMS personnel for their dedication, including support provided to Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank.
Talking at the tour, he highlighted the need to develop a “comprehensive” knowledge database and stressed that health institutions must grow through solidarity and integration, calling for concerted efforts to enhance partnerships and services under one umbrella.
The Prince was accompanied by the Minister of Health, the President of the University of Jordan, the Inspector General of the Jordanian Armed Forces, and representatives from public and private medical sectors.
