PTI Showcases Community Tourism Project at Global GX Summit in Amman

Amman, Sept. 27 (Petra) – In the presence of Princess Rajwa bint Ali, the Princess Taghrid Institute for Training and Development (PTI), led by General Director Agadeer Jweihan, took part in the 2025 Global GX Summit on Community-Based Tourism held in Amman.

In a PTI statement on Saturday, the institute said it presented its experience in community tourism and sustainable development through its flagship initiative “Dar Nemeh,” which operates across Jordan’s governorates and focuses on “qualifying and economically empowering development projects, with a special focus on supporting women, youth, and local communities.”

The PTI joined a panel discussion to share its experience and highlight the importance of community tourism, which offers visitors an integrated opportunity to experience local traditions, traditional cuisine, and handicrafts reflecting Jordanian culture while boosting economic growth in host communities.

The PTI’s participation comes under its strategic partnership with GX Global and National Geographic Expeditions, which recently announced the launch of the “National Geographic Signature with G Adventures” program a premium travel model centered on learning, culture, and community, while providing unprecedented access to world-class experts.

According to the institute, the program enables travelers to explore destinations through experiences rooted in local values and designed to support host communities, aligning with the foundation’s vision for mindful and sustainable tourism.

Jweihan stressed that the participation highlights the PTI’s leading role in community development and responsible tourism and demonstrates how global partnerships can amplify the impact of community-based tourism on local economies and individual empowerment.
