
Amman, Jan. 28 (Petra) Royal Jordanian (RJ) Airlines announced on Tuesday the launch of its new flight schedule between Amman and Aqaba, with the airline operating 17 weekly flights starting in early February. This initiative aims to boost travel and support tourism in Aqaba, both domestically and internationally.
Samer Majali, RJ Vice Chairman and CEO, stated, “The launch of the new schedule reflects Royal Jordanian’s commitment to supporting the national tourism sector and revitalizing tourism to Aqaba, which is one of Jordan’s most prominent tourist destinations.”
He added, “We are proud to offer this high operational momentum, which is part of the company’s strategy to enhance connectivity between Jordanian cities and provide comfortable travel options at preferential prices for passengers.”
Majali noted that RJ is keen to offer competitive prices suitable for all categories of travelers, with round-trip tickets priced at JD65 and one-way tickets at JD35.
He urged travelers to take advantage of this special offer to explore the beauty of Aqaba and enjoy a comfortable travel experience with high-quality services onboard RJ flights.
Majali also highlighted RJ’s expansion plans to support travel from regional markets, explaining that the company will operate direct flights between Cairo and Aqaba starting mid-next month, with three weekly flights scheduled. Ticket prices will start at JD85.
He stated that this step is part of the RJ’s efforts to connect Aqaba with major cities in the region and enhance its status as a preferred destination for Arab and international tourists.
Majali affirmed that RJ will continue to play its vital role in supporting the national economy by enhancing connectivity between Jordanian cities and with the outside world, contributing to the revitalization of economic and tourism activity in the Kingdom.
